"Insurance doubled in the past few years. Perfect driving records with two older cars and our premiums are 20% of the cars' value per year. Seriously, $1,900 a year for a car worth less than $10k. Almost four grand a year for a 2015 Corolla and 2014 Impreza, both base models. Every billing period the premium goes up $150 to $200. Absolute scumbags, can't wait for these policies expire so we can switch. August 2024 edit - They raised it again by a significant amount. Switched to Geico and am now paying less than half the price for equivalent coverage. $1,002 for two paid off decade-old cars per six months with a clean record vs over $2,000 with State Farm. Wild. Can't recommend State Farm or this agent. We've been happy customers since 2014 and they're not bad about claims (like a tree falling in my car), but our premiums doubled over the past few years."

"Tim Crabtree & Pamela Gates at State Farm are the best insurance providers I have ever worked with. I had my homeowners, auto, & motorcycle with Geico for many years and they were fine, until I got into an accident. I’ve been driving for > 30 years without an accident, and no tickets for ~10 years. I got into 1 minor accident and was sited for my improper lane change (I slid on snow/slush). My fault, but no biggie right? Wrong! Geico doubled (yes doubled!) my insurance. I was miffed. I called around and spoke to Allstate, Farmers, Progressive, etc. and they were marginally better and/or had inferior homeowners options. Finally, my good friend suggested I talk to his agent Pamela Gates at Tim Crabtree State Farm and I was floored by the service and options they provided. For me, insurance has always been a “set-it-and-forget-it” service that I did online. I would pick the cheapest of the suitable options and not think about it unless necessary. I am not used to actually speaking to an agent who was so invested in getting me the right product, with the best options, at the lowest price. Pamela and Tim went above and beyond and found me significantly better auto and homeowners coverage for 40% less with State Farm. I want to point out that there are two components to this review, The agency and the insurance company. State Farm has an amazing suite of insurance products that I found superior to all other options. However, I would not have found such bespoke coverage at an excellent price without the thoughtful, dedicated, and kind service provided by Tim Crabtree State Farm."
